We Have Made Progress In Rejecting $28m Car Loan Facility For MPs – Samuel Okudzeto Ablakw

Member of Parliament for North Tongu, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakaw, has disclosed that he and some of his colleague lawmakers are making progress as far as the rejection of $28million loan facility for members of Parliament is concerned.

The MP revealed that he and Patrick Boamah an NPP member of Parliament came together to sponsor a private member’s motion and the Speaker of Parliament has admitted for an urgent debate on the $28million loan.

”Really elated that my colleague NPP MP Patrick Boamah and I cosponsored a private member’s motion which the Rt. Hon. Speaker admitted for urgent debate this week”, he wrote in a tweet.

The $28million loan facility for MPS has been greeted with massive criticisms since the Finance Minister Ken Ofori-Atta put the loan before the parliament.

Meanwhile, Mr. Boamah had once said in an interview that if he had his way he would have told the legislators to reject the loan.
