Award-winning Dancehall Maestro, Livingstone Etse Satekla, well known as Stonebwoy has said that the military has to be held responsible for the destruction that befell the people of Ejura.
This comes after two persons were reported to have lost their lives during a clash with the military on Tuesday. Four people were also alleged to have suffered various degrees of injuries during the clash.
The youth of Ejura was seeking justice following the death of the #FixTheCountry activist, Ibrahim Muhammed, also known as Kaaka.
Ibrahim Muhammed, who was also a part of the Economic Fighters League and, more recently, the #FixTheCountry movement, was reportedly attacked by a crowd at around 1:30 a.m. on Saturday, June 26, 2021.
Some inhabitants of Sabonline, a Zongo hamlet in the Ejura district, heard his cries for aid, but they arrived late to find him in a critical state.
He was immediately rushed to the Ejura Sekyeredumase District Hospital after which he was later referred to the Okomfo Anokye Teaching Hospital. Ibrahim was confirmed dead on Monday, 28th June 2021.
Following the clash of between the demonstrators and military, Stonebwoy has stated that the military officers who were deployed to the scene are to be held responsible for the tragedy that befell the community.
“They were only venting their frustration. Yet the men and women who have sworn an oath to protect us and serve us with integrity attacked them. We need justice for Kaaka. We need to hold the police and military responsible for the loss of lives in Ejura. #Outside #NaGoIn!,” he wrote on Twitter.
