The Walia ibex home win has blown Group G wide open with three countries now capable of topping the group with four games remaining.
South Africa by virtue of their impressive win over Ghana lead Group G with four points.
Ghana and Ethiopia have the same points, three but the four-time African champions are second because of last Friday’s victory.
Zimbabwe are last with one point which they picked up in their first match against South Africa.
The next matches of the group have been scheduled for early October.
Ethiopia face off with South Africa in a home and away, the same as Ghana’s meeting with Zimbabwe.
