Ghana head coach Milovan Rajevac says the team is prepared to take on any pressure to be selected for 2022’s FIFA World Cup.
The Black Stars face off with Zimbabwe on Tuesday at Harare’s National Sports Stadium in Harare, Zimbabwe in a crucial game.
Milovan Rajevac stated that in order for the team’s chances of making it to the World Cup, they must learn how to handle pressure.
“In this kind of job and especially in this kind of situations you have to learn how to manage the pressure”, he said at the pre-match conference.
“For us it is a must win match and every next match is the most important and hardest match so let’s take one step at a time.
“We have confidence and so we will learn how to handle the pressure because if you cannot handle pressure, you can’t succeed in this game. It is something that we have to cope with and I think we will do that successfully.”
Ghana must win against Zimbabwe to increase chances of making it beyond the tournament.
South Africa host Ethiopia in the other game in Johannesburg later this afternoon.
South Africa leads the table with seven points, Ghana with 6 points, Ethiopia with three, and Zimbabwe last in the table with just one point.
