Buhari Acted On Wrong Advice After Supreme Court Ruling – Keyamo

Festus Keyamo, the spokesperson for the All Progressives Congress Presidential Campaign Council, APC-PCC, has stated his opposition to President Muhammadu Buhari’s position on the new naira notes.

President Muhammadu Buhari has endorsed the decision of the Central Bank of Nigeria to mop up the old Naira denominations but has also approved the recirculation of the old N200.

Keyamo who is a senior Nigerian lawyer has said that the president might have proceeded and acted on the wrong advice after the Supreme Court ruling.

He feels that the president acted honestly without the intention to slight the Supreme Court. But he may have acted on the wrong advice.

Speaking on Channels Television’s The 2023 Verdict on Friday, the Labour Minister said he is not clear in his mind who advised the president and that he is making his stance known because in the future he will be asked where he stood at the time.
