The 22nd edition of the annual Vodafone Ghana Music Awards was held on June 26, 27 at the Accra International Conference Centre.
Gospel star Diana Hamilton won the ultimate award which is the ‘Artist of the Year’ after beating off stiff competition from Adina, KiDi, Kuami Eugene, Medikal and Sarkodie.
There were spectacular performances from the likes of Adina, Keche, Kuami Eugene, Kidi, Kofi Kinaata, Sarkodie, Efya, Mr Drew and other mainstream artists.
For some reason, Kidi was so sure he was going to win Artist of the year, but unfortunately for him, Gospel Musician Diana Hamilton beat him to it.
Reacting to this, Ghanaians are asking Kidi how he expected to go to church, and thank God for winning an award with a profane song like “Shut Up and Bend over”.
