Most Ghanaians have been waiting for the President of the Land, H.E Nana Addo-Dankwa Akufo Addo to pass his comments over the recent killing that happened at Kasoa. Well, it seems that will never happen.
A school of thought on social media have lambasted the President over his silence on the issue but was quick to send his tribute to the Royal family and the citizens of United State over the death of the Duke of Edinburgh, Prince Philip.
According to the President in his tribute, he expressed his deepest condolence to the United Kingdom and the Royal Family, saying that Prince Philip’s place in Ghana history is secured.
In view of this, some concerned Ghanaians have expressed their frustration in the President’s ignorance over pressing issues in the country but quick to comment on other country’s issues.
A typical example is the recent murder of a 10-year-old boy, Ishmael Abdullah Mensah by two teenage boys who planned on using him for money rituals. Ghanaians expect the President to address such issues along with other challenges the country is facing.
Others also argued that the President’s position as the Chairman of the Economic Community of West African State makes his comments over international issues very necessary.
Meanwhile, Ghanaians have called on the government to ban the advertisement of money ritual contents on national TV since it was the main inspiration behind the gruesome murder at Kasoa.
