Asamoah Gyan Congratulates Newly-Elected Cameroon FA President Samuel Eto’o

Asamoah Gyan has congratulated Samuel Eto’o on his win at the Cameroonian Football Federation presidency.

Samuel Eto’o was voted the winner on Saturday’s election. He will be leading FECAFOOT the next four year.

The Ghana legend used social media to celebrate the latest achievement of the Cameroonian legend.

Taking to Twitter, Gyan wrote;

Congratulations big brother @SamuelEtoo wish you all the best as you start this new and challenging journey . May your success as a footballer be your guide to greatness 🙏🏿

The former Barcelona player garnered 43 votes, against his main rival Saidou Mbombo Njoya, who received 31 votes to become the new president.

Maboang Kessack and Justin Tagouh supported Eto’o in the election.

75 delegates cast their votes, with Samuel Eto’o winning the election to lead one of the most successful football nations in Africa.

Samuel Eto’o Fils will be the Cameroon Football governing board for the next four year.

The 3-time UEFA Champions League winner will lead Cameroon’s delegation at the Africa Cup of Nations next month, which will be held in his country.
