Lorraine Kelly Still Mourning Dame Deborah James As She Raises Glass In Her Memory

Dame Deborah James passed away last week from colon cancer, and Lorraine Kelly says she is still processing her loss.

Dame Deborah spent the last five years of her life raising awareness of bowel cancer symptoms and raising money for crucial research into the disease. She was just 40 years old when she passed away from the deadly cancer.

As she received end-of-life care at home, Prince William honored her with a DBE for her efforts, which helped save many lives.

Since the podcaster and activist passed away, the country has been in mourning, and talk host Lorraine has acknowledged that she hasn’t fully accepted it.

Lorraine spoke with entertainment editor Ria Hebden about Dame Deborah’s legacy on Friday’s broadcast, including a new trend that her family has invited followers to participate in, where they raise a glass to the podcaster.

“Everyone that loved her and admired her, all of us can do this. It’s a new trend that started on Instagram following her death earlier on this week. Which I still haven’t processed, to be honest,” she said.

She then turned to Ria and clinked their glasses in celebration of the Bowelbabe.
