“I Don’t Want To Ride On My Father, Nana Acheampong’s Name For Fame” – Gyakie

The woman of the moment, Gyakie has said she does want to ride on her father’s name for fame.

Gyakie was born into a family of great musicians, she is the daughter of 80’s highlife music legend Ernest ‘Owoahene’ Nana Acheampong formerly of ‘Lumba Brothers’ fame.

With the father’s catalogue of musical recordings, one would think she will use him as a medium to acquire some fortune and fame but she refused to do anything of that sort.

While speaking at an interview with popular blogger, ZionFelix, Gyakie said she is on a mission to create her own brand, fortunes and fame. According to her, she has her own niche and would stick to it instead of riding on her father’s fame.

She added that her father is proud she took after him and appreciates her for her art and the steady progress she is making in her career as a musician.
