Rosario Dawson Parents: Patrick C. Harris, Isabel Celeste

Rosario Isabel Dawson is a well-known American actress. She appeared in the 1995 independent drama Kids for her feature film debut. Dawson had a brief appearance on Sesame Street when he was a kid.

She was found at the age of 15 by photographers Larry Clark and Harmony Korine on her front porch step. Korine thought she would be ideal for a role he had written in his screenplay for the contentious 1995 movie Kids.

She later went on to play a variety of roles in both independent and mainstream movies like Rent, He Got Game, and Men in Black II. In 1998, Dawson lent his voice to the remixed version of Prince’s hit “1999” to serve as an introduction.

Dawson is also known for having several roles in film and television adaptations of comic books.

Isabel Celeste, her mother, is of Puerto Rican and Afro-Cuban descent. When Rosario was born, Isabel was 16 or 17 years old. She was never married to Patrick C. Harris, Rosario’s biological father.

Rosario’s mother wed Greg Dawson, a construction worker, when Rosario was a year old. The family relocated to Texas.
