Accra Hearts of Oak head coach, Slavko Matic, has reportedly tendered in his application for the vacant Black Stars coaching job.
Even though he recently signed a two-year contract with Ghana Premier League giants Hearts of Oak, Slavko Matic is ready to leave his role at the club to fill the national team role.
Certain media is reporting that the Serb is unperturbed about potential backlash from the Board of Directors of Hearts and the club’s fans; resulting from him not informing them about his decision to go for the Black Stars job.
Matic who holds a UEFA Pro License has had stints in China, Qatar, Slovenia, and his native Serbia. Before landing his current job with the Phobians, he was in charge of the Bulgarian top-flight side Septemvri Sofia.
There is currently an ongoing search for a new head coach for the Black Stars by the Ghana Football Association, and Matic’s CV will be one of those the FA will peruse.
The FA is expected to make an announcement of who the new Black Star coach is in the coming weeks.
