The Black Galaxies of Ghana will come up against Niger in the quarter-final stage of the 2022 CAF Championship of African Nations (CHAN) competition.
Niger beat Cameroun by a goal to nil to claim the top spot in Group E to set up a quarterfinal clash with the Black Galaxies.
Ghana booked its quarterfinal berth when it sealed the second-place spot in its group after beating Sudan 3-1 on Sunday night.
In the absence of the reigning champions Morocco, the Black Galaxies is one of the favorites for the title although it has not won the coveted trophy since the commencement of the tournament.
Ghana lost its opening match of the tournament against debutants Madagascar by a 2-1 scoreline. They, however, lifted their game against Sudan in their second group match which they won by a 3-1 scoreline.
Coach Annor Walker and his players will move to Oran from their current base in Constantine to prepare for the quarter-final match against Niger to be played on Saturday.
