Alec Baldwin Faces New Lawsuit From Halyna Hutchins’ Family After Involuntary Manslaughter Charges
A new lawsuit against Alec Baldwin is being considered in relation to the Rust shooting that killed Halyna Hutchins.
While shooting the Western movie in November 2021, the 30 Rock actor unintentionally discharged a gun, killing Halyna Hutchins and injuring Joel Souza.
The 64-year-old has consistently insisted that he was unaware the revolver was loaded with a live cartridge, but last week he was formally charged with involuntary manslaughter.
After previously reaching a settlement in a different lawsuit, Hutchins’ family is now prepared to file a new lawsuit against the Hollywood star.
According to PA, they are suing the Hollywood actor for allegations of abuse, willful infliction of emotional distress, negligence, and loss of consortium.
In a press conference earlier today, Gloria Allred, who is the family’s attorney, expressed her outrage, saying: “It’s clear to us that the relationships of all of our clients have been damaged, and that they will not be able to enjoy life in the same way as they did when their precious Halyna was alive.”
