Ghana forward Asamoah Gyan as well as a few African football legends, including Stephen Appiah, were hosted by Niger President Mohamed Bazoum at the Gala de la Republic.
The former Black Stars captain as well as his co-stars African legends attended the three-day celebration held in Niger capital.
In photos shared on Instagram that spotted by Kingaziz.com, the striker expressed his happiness in meeting the president.
“I had the opportunity to meeting the president of the Republic of Niger. His Excellency Mohamed Bazoum today. Also happy to see my fellow legends to participate in the Gala de la republic event in Niamey đȘđżđȘđżđȘđżđđżđđżđđż” Gyan wrote on Instagram.
Asamoah Gyan Patrick Mboma, El Hadji Diouf, Stephen Appiah, Daniel Amokachi, Jay Jay Okocha, Anthony Baffoe, and many more legends also attended the occasion.
Gala de la Republic is a celebration that takes place every year. Gala de la Republic is an event organized by people of the committee local to Niger and with the participation of many football enthusiasts, with a particular focus on the large number of fans of various clubs of Niamey.
The advisor to the president and participant in the organizing committee, Mr. Sahanine Mahamadou stated that the goal is to gather the greatest number of Nigerians in support of this event that will bring together many past glory times of Nigerian and international football.
In addition, the former Ghana player Anthony Baffoe also shared his joy in meeting African legends.
