Ghanaian Sports journalist Muftawu Nabila Abdulai has revealed that Chris Hughton was not happy the Ghana Football Association (GFA) offered him a one-year contract after initially offering him a three-year deal.
The former Tottenham Hotspur manager’s appointment as Black Stars head coach was announced by the Ghana Football Association in early February with disclosing the contract details.
Muftawu Nabila reveals that the GFA and Chris Hughton had an initial gentleman’s agreement to offer him a three-year deal but the former rescinded the decision and instead offer the latter a one-year deal which he is not amused about.
The Joy Sports presenter did not disclose the length of the contract the GFA and Hughton are working on at the moment.
Nabila revealed on Joy FM that the Ghana Football Association offered Chris Hughton a one-year contract, and he was not happy with that.
He added that one of the reasons Chris Hughton was disappointed about the one-year contract was because initial discussions were for three years.
