There are reports in the media that English Premier League outfit Crystal Palace is in talks with Ghanaian midfielder Jeffery Schlupp over a contract renewal.
Schlupp’s current contract with Crystal Palace will run out this summer and talks are been held to extend the player’s contract.
The midfielder has become an integral part of the Palace setup since he joined the team and is very likely to extend his stay at the club.
He has featured 191 times for Crystal Palace since he joined in 2017. Within this period he has scored 26 goals and provided 14 assists to his team’s course.
In the current season, he has played 27 games in the Premier League and scored two goals in the process. It is however curious that despite his consistent form over the years, he has not received any national team call-ups in recent times.
He was left out of the Black Stars team that played at the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Ghana.
Since his debut in 2011, Schlupp has featured 20 times for the Black Stars, scoring just a goal.
