Ghanaian Defender Mohammed Salisu To Miss Four Games For Southampton During 2021 AFCON

Ghanaian defensive player Mohammed Salisu will miss four games in the 2021 AFCON tournament if he is selected to be part of the Black Stars squad for the tournament.

The former Real Valladolid defender has turned down two occasions to join the national team’s senior squad during the qualifying games.

However, the Ghana FA is relentless in making sure they have the center-back to boost Ghana’s team to compete in African Cup.

Head Coach Milovan Rajevac is believed to be keen to have the Southampton defensive player in his squad for the tournament.

Premier League stars competing won’t be able to participate in the opening two games of the FA Cup – and they’ll also be absent for two matchdays worth of games should their nation advance this far in the competition.

If Mohammed Salisu make the squad for the tournament, he’ll be absent for four matches with The Saints during the AFCON period.
