Moritz-Broni Kwarteng, a Ghanaian born in Germany, scored for Magdeburg in their 2-0 victory against Kaiserslautern in the Bundesliga 2 on Friday night.
Kwarteng featured for his side for the full 90 minutes of the game at the MDCC Arena, in which he had 62 touches of the ball and completed 34 out of 40 passes.
He completed two dribbles successfully, created two chances in the match, and won nine duels. He also won two out of three tackles with two accurate shots on goal, with one ending in a goal.
Moritz-Broni opened the scoring in the 41st minute of the match, putting Magdeburg in the lead against Kaiserslautern.
In the 65th minute, Tatsuya Ito scored the second goal to double Magdeburg’s lead.
Magdeburg is currently lying 11th on the Bundesliga 2 league log with 27 points from 23 matches.
The 24-year-old Kwarten has so far in the season scored 8 goals in 23 matches for his side.
Moritz-Broni Kwarteng is uncapped for both Ghana and Germany at any level and is still eligible to play for the Black Stars.
