Michael Duane Johnson was born on September 13, 1967. He is an American sprinter. Johnson retired after winning eight gold medals at the World Championships and four gold medals in the Olympics.

He once held the world and Olympic marks for the 200 and 400 meters, as well as the record for the 400 meters run indoors. He once had the fastest 300m time.
