American rapper Rick Ross has suggested a potential collaboration with Ghanaian Dancehall artist Stonebwoy in an upcoming project. The CEO of Maybach Music Group shared this information in a video on his Instagram story.
The project aims to involve not only African artists but specifically Stonebwoy, Yemi Alade from Nigeria, and Tanzanian star Diamond Platinumz.
Rick Ross mentioned the plan to feature twelve African artists on the album, indicating a broader initiative to collaborate with the continent’s musical talents. Meek Mill, another American rapper, has also expressed interest in producing an album with a Nigerian or Ghanaian artist.
In a tweet on January 30, he asked for recommendations and highlighted his rap skills, stating that he could complete the project in two weeks with a suitable producer.

Meek Mill had earlier disclosed that he charges $250,000 for a verse but is open to negotiation, potentially reducing it to $150,000 under the right circumstances.
He explained that this fee is justified by his substantial fanbase of over 50 million people and his ability to provide exposure through good playlisting on streaming platforms.
