Roddy Ricch Arrested On Multiple Gun Offenses Before Performance In New York Governor’s Ball
Famous American rapper, Roddy Ricch was arrested just a few hours before he was set to rock the stage for his performance at the New York Governor’s Ball, a popular music festival.
The 23-year-old rapper was arrested with 2 others on Saturday when a private security company spotted guns in their car while entering a secured location at the venue of the music festival.
According to a report by E! News, Police officers received and responded to a call from a private company working the venue after spotting a gun in their car. The police subsequently arrested the rapper, Roddy Ricch and his companions around 6:40 p.m.
Roddy and his counterparts have been charged with criminal possession of a weapon, possession of a large capacity ammunition feeding device and unlawful possession of an ammunition feed device.
Though Roddy’s reps are yet to comment on the arrest, the organizers of the music festival wrote in a Twitter post that the rapper could not perform at the event.
“Unfortunately Roddy Ricch is no longer performing today.”
