The Sopranos’ Tony Sirico Dies Aged 79 – Family Confirms

Tony Sirico’s family has announced that the actor has passed away at the age of 79 in a Fort Lauderdale, Florida assisted living facility.

The actor, best known for portraying Paulie “Walnuts” Gualteri in all six seasons of the popular HBO series, also appeared in gangster-themed movies and TV episodes like Goodfellas, Lilyhammer, and A Bronx Tale.

Confirming the news of his death, his brother Robert Sirico in a Facebook post said “It is with great sadness, but with incredible pride, love and a whole lot of fond memories, that the family of Gennaro Anthony ‘Tony’ Sirico wishes to inform you of his death on the morning of July 8, 2022. The family is deeply grateful for the many expressions of love, prayer and condolences and requests that the public respect its privacy in this time of bereavement.”

His funeral and burial service is set to take place in Brooklyn, New York on July 13, with a memorial donation for Wounded Warriors.
