Report gathered by our outfit indicates that 32 persons have been killed and 66 injured after 2 trains collided in Egypt. The incident actually happened in the North of the city of Sohag.
According to the railway authorities, the cause of the accident was as a result of triggering the emergency brake by some ”unknown individuals” causing the train to come to a halt. A second train then came all the way from behind and guess what, it crashed into the first one from behind, causing 2 carriages to come off the tracks.
Some of the victims were seriously bleeding whiles others appeared to be unconscious. This is what a security source had to say;
”The trains collided while going at not very high speeds, which ked to the destruction of two carriages and a third to overturn”.
Sources also say the public prosecutor’s office has ordered an investigation into the deadly collision so as to find the culprits involved.
