81-year-old singer, Sir Cliff Richard, has finally opened up on his mental health during the false sexual assault allegation leveled against him.
According to the singer, he feared he would die from his heart pulse rate racing in the mornings when he wakes up, even though he firmly stood that the allegations were false.
Sir Cliff Richard was never arrested, charged or prosecuted after a police search was conducted in his house by the Met Police following a complaint to the Yewtree operation of the Met Police in London.
Cliff was since awarded compensation from the South Yorkshire Police and earned BBC coverage of how his innocence in the case unfolded.
Talking about his own experience, Sir Cliff Richard said people should advocate for the identity of suspects to remain anonymous until they are duly charged with a crime.
He added that the internet is a “disaster area for most people now…You can’t trust anybody anymore.”
